In his latest column for FOXSports.com, John Czarnecki notes that the Jets are prepared to dump a ‘truckload’ of money on the doorstep of Steelers guard Alan Faneca when free-agency begins.

He also reports that Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel will likely demand $10-11 million per season. The Saints are currently the leader to land Samuel, though it could change.

The Patriots aren’t close to a deal with free agent wide receiver Randy Moss, although New England believes Moss will give them the option to match whatever deal he does receive on the open market.

If this is true about Faneca, this is great news. I firmly believe Faneca will be worth every penny the Jets give him.
